| San Felipe is small fishing town located 120 miles (1 hour 10 minutes) south of the international border of Mexicali in Baja California. Despite its location, San Felipe Mexico is a small Sea of Cortez city that is unspoiled and virtually underdeveloped. San Felipe Mexico has gradually transformed from a sleepy fishing village into a popular vacation resort with an International Airport. It offers a variety of nightclubs and restaurants with activities such as sport fishing, snorkeling, sailing, and sightseeing tours. San Felipe is also home to dirt bike and desert racing enthusiasts. San Felipe Baja California has a unique ecosystem, where the desert meets the sea. Temperatures have ranged from 115°F in the shade during the summer months of July and August and in December and January, the temperature can get to a low of about 40°F at night. The population of San Felipe is around 20,000 people and growing however during Spring Break, San Felipe comes alive with thousands of anxious college students looking for a spring break to remember, usually March and early April. |
