Mexico is a large State with climate that varies from one city to another. In general the seasons are clearly marked, the fall is fresh, the winter is cool, the spring and summer are sunny and warm. Every season offer you different face of the Baja California landscapes, during the winter snow covered mountains and during summer many beaches to enjoy the best of the fun in the sun. Some restaurants and nightclubs observe dress code, so we suggest you that in doubt, you call before you dress to go. You will be fine at any place with following rule: no shorts, t-shirt, no jeans or tennis shoes. In summer it is advisable to pack a light jacket or sweater and in winter, when temperatures, day or night, can be quite chilly, it's a good idea to pack a warm sweater or jacket. The most appropriate clothes are those who keep you at a good temperature and that make you feel comfortable.
Situated in the southwestern part of mainland North America and roughly triangular in shape, Mexico stretches more than 1,875 miles from northwest to southeast. Its width is varied, from more than1,250 miles in the north and less than 137 miles at the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in the south. Mexico is bordered by the United States to the North, and Belize and Guatemala to the Southeast. The terrain and climate vary from rocky deserts in the north to tropical rain forest in the south. Mexico's major rivers include theRio Grande on the northern border and the Usumacinta on its southern borders, respectively, together with the Grijalva, Balsas, Pánuco, and Yaqui in the interior. The Tropic of Cancer effectively divides the country into temperate and tropical zones. Land north of the twenty-fourth parallel experiences cooler temperatures during the winter months. South of the point, temperatures are fairly constant year round and vary solely as a function of elevation. |
