Insurance Company of North America (INA), the oldest member of ACE INA, was the first U.S.-based marine insurance company. Its first policy, written in 1792, insured the hull of the ship "America" and the goods it carried from Philadelphia to Ireland. Today, the ACE INA holding company oversees operations that span the globe. Almost two-thirds of ACE Group's $12.8 billion in annual premium revenue are generated by businesses that are part of ACE INA.
